Fusion Five was created of and for young professionals to change the social and economic landscape of Southwest Louisiana. Our mission is to cultivate a positive impact on Southwest Louisiana by connecting and engaging young professionals in regional opportunities for civic engagement, professional development, and personal growth.
Engage with other young professionals in the area during our ‘Wednesday Coffee’ series where we network and learn about opportunities for engagement. You are welcomed to attend coffee twice before joining.
Our Lunch and Learn series gives members an opportunity to increase their professional and personal skills and get exclusive access to community developments from our local leaders.
We are here for out community! Whether its supporting an event, cleaning up trash, or volunteering Fusion Five is tuned in and ready to give back however we can.
For a more casual networking opportunity, our After Hours series gives members an opportunity to engage with other young professionals. No agenda, just good company and good times.
Our Mentorship Program will give members an exclusive ongoing opportunity to connect with established community mentors to foster growth and connection at the personal and professional level.

Join Fusion Five for our next Lunch & Learn, “What Can AI Actually Do?” led by Garrett Wheat, Ph.D., Statewide Strategic Program Manager at the Louisiana Transportation Research Center (LTRC). With AI becoming more integrated into our personal and professional lives, it's normal to wonder—is it here to help, or replace us? In this interactive session, Dr. Wheat will break down what AI is truly capable of, and how young professionals can use tools for text, audio, and visual content to boost productivity, not fear the future. Perfect for curious minds, early adopters, and anyone navigating a tech-driven workplace! Location: Family & Youth Counseling Agency; 220 Louie St, Lake Charles, LA 70601 Members: $10 Non-Member: $25 We are proud to present the 2025 Fusion Five Expo! The Fusion Five Expo is designed to offer Fusion Five members an exclusive platform to promote their businesses, network with the community, and enhance their professional skills. We aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where members and non-members alike can engage, learn, and collaborate. This event will also include workshops, business showcases, networking opportunities, and exciting door prizes, all free to the public, ensuring broad community participation and access. Event Goals: • Support Member Businesses: Offer a platform for Fusion Five members to showcase their businesses, interact with the community, and gain exposure. Event Highlights: • Business Tables: Members will have tables to promote their businesses, engage with attendees, and create valuable connections. Registration and Participation: • Fusion Five Members: Free access to participate and table at the event. Sponsorship Opportunities: We are also seeking a banner sponsor for the event, with potential for other contributions to cover food costs and door prizes.
